Issue Date
Advisory Number
07/26/10 OPERATIONAL ADVISORY - SAV #23-10
The South Carolina Air National Guard 169th Fighter Wing has relocated 16 of its F-16 jets to the CRTC until September 16,2010 due to construction activities at their home base near Columbia, SC.  During this time we will be experiencing increased military fighter jet operations.  GA aircraft operations may be impacted from time to time during high volume training windows.  Touch and go operations and pattern work in particular.  You are reminded that inbound F-16's under certain emergency situations may engage the BAK-14 arresting gear (cable) on runway 10-28 upon landing.  This usually closes that runway for 20-30 minutes.

OPERATIONAL ADVISORY - SAV #19-10
Beginning June 30, 2010, Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) modified their method of issuing taxi instructions when one or more runway crossings are involved.  Instructions to cross multiple runways, whether active or inactive, will no longer be given as a single command.  The attached poster from the FAA explains the changes in greater detail.  Please review this information with any staff that may operate on the AOA, and ensure they are familiar with the changes.  As you are aware, it takes conscious effort on everyone's part to ensure aviation safety.  If you are ever unclear of directions given by an controller, please do not hesitate to ask them to repeat the directions which were given to you. Clearing of the trees north of the Terminal apron
Construction of Taxiway G and Taxilane GA-6

Project is schedule to last approximately 7 months and should not effect daily operations. This development is needed to create additional space for future general aviation tenants.  See attached diagram for project location and information.  Additional advisories will be issued as needed.   Attached Diagram
