Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV) is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. Airport Customer Care Specialist personnel are on hand to assist you in any way possible. Please be sure to inform your airline upon booking your ticket of any special needs or assistance you may require. The airline will notify the SAV Airport Customer Care Service department if wheelchair assistance is required.

Elevators are conveniently located in each of our Long Term/Hourly Parking Garages and Economy Parking Garages, as well as on each side of baggage claim and the ticketing hall.

Convenient parking spaces are reserved in all parking garages for those with special needs. Vehicles must display a state-issued handicapped parking placard.
All airport restrooms have an extra-wide stall with side railings and are accessible to customers with wheelchairs or walkers.

Customers requesting access through the security checkpoint must have a boarding pass. If you need assistance to your gate, a friend or relative may request a gate pass from your airline. Passengers with special needs should advise Transportation Security Administration (TSA) staff of any special needs prior to screening. Please see your airline’s website and the Transportation Security Administration website for further information on traveling with special needs.
Service animals are welcome throughout the airport while assisting their owners. A harness, tag or vest indicating status as a service animal will be helpful in distinguishing them to airport personnel. However, credible verbal assurance that the animal is providing a service to assist with a disability will suffice should an inquiry be made.
Wheelchair requests at Savannah/Hilton Head International are made directly through the airlines. SAV Airport Customer Care specialists are on hand to assist passengers during departures and arrivals. A Customer Courtesy Shuttle electric cart is located in the concourse to assist passengers from security checkpoint to their departure gate or upon arrival to security checkpoint.
