Title VI Program

Savannah Hilton Head International Airport

The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) operates its programs, services, and activities in compliance with federal nondiscrimination laws including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statutes and regulations.  Title VI prohibits discrimination in federally assisted programs and requires that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency (LEP)), sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), creed, or age, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity that receives U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) funding.  Title VI also prohibits the retaliation for asserting otherwise participating in claims of discrimination.  The Savannah Airport Commission further assures every effort will be made to ensure nondiscrimination in all of its programs and activities, regardless of whether those programs and activities are federally funded. A copy of the Title VI plan can be download here.

Mr. Dawoud Stevenson, available at (912) 964-0514 and [email protected], is responsible for overseeing the Commission’s compliance with Title VI and the point of contact for all Title VI matters and related responsibilities, including those required by 49 CFR Part 21.
