Federal Inspection Services Facility
Savannah/Hilton Head International’s new Federal Inspection Services Facility (FIS) is a 19,000 sf world-class international arrivals facility that enhances security-screening operations to facilitate international general aviation aircraft and passenger arrivals. All international flights arrive at the FIS where passengers must process through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) before entering the United States. This includes an inspection/interview by CBP Officers, and claiming all checked luggage. This facility is capable of handling large body aircraft such as Boeing 767 and will service 300+ passengers per hour.
