Project Overview
This project includes the expansion and construction of secured rental car return facilities at the terminal facility. The project will provide rental car companies with secured, company specific rental car pickup and return facilities that will expedite the customer experience. Signage, drainage, and access roads are incorporated into this project.
Project Progress
The low bidder, Johnson-Laux Construction, LLC, has been selected as the general contractor for this project. Work should begin in September 2021.
January 5, 2022- The Rental Car Facility Improvement project is ongoing in both the north and south lots. Work completed to date includes site grading and drainage installation, knee wall foundations, and conduit installation for fiber and power lines. Johnson Laux is the general contractor.
March 31, 2022 – The Rental Car Facility Improvement project is ongoing in both the north and south lots. Work completed to date includes site grading and drainage installation, knee wall foundations, and conduit installation for fiber and power lines. Erection of the steel canopies is ongoing, and paving will begin in the next couple of weeks. Projected completion is early June.
June 21, 2022 – The Rental Car Facility Improvement project is ongoing in both the north and south lots. Work completed to date includes site grading and drainage installation, knee wall foundations, and conduit installation for fiber and power lines. Johnson Laux is the general contractor.
October 5, 2022 – The Rental Car Facility Improvement project is ongoing in both the north and south lots. Work is 90 percent complete. Remaining work includes fiber installation, fence installation, striping the parking lot and installation of wayfinding signs. Johnson Laux is the general contractor.
