SAV ALERTS

No new alerts.
The anticipated winter storm has already caused numerous flight cancellations. Airlines are issuing travel waivers and adjusting schedules as conditions evolve. We recommend passengers confirm their flight status with their airline before heading to the airport. Airport operations and maintenance crews are actively monitoring conditions and will take all necessary steps to maintain safe operations, including airfield and terminal treatment as needed.

Delta Air Lines flights are operational this afternoon on a limited schedule. It is possible that Delta will operate on a limited schedule again Monday. It is important to remember that cancellations are determined by each carrier, and in a severe weather situation changes to flight status can occur rapidly. Passengers should continue to expect cancellations showing through Monday and possibly Tuesday as Hurricane Irma moves through Georgia.

Airport parking will remain open and will not be closing at 7:00 p.m. as previously announced. Customers who wish to return a rental car may utilize the drop boxes located at the rental car counters if an attendant is not on duty.

Up-to-date flight information can be found on flySAV.com, airline websites, and social media pages. Please monitor Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport’s Facebook page or follow us on twitter @fly_SAV for the latest information concerning airport operations.

The public is urged not to call the airport but to contact the airlines directly for the most current flight information. Calls to the airport made during this time period will reach emergency operations personnel.
