SAVANNAH, GA – The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is pleased to host an Air Service Workshop on July 26, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center in the Oglethorpe Auditorium.

Dr. Stephen Van Beek with Leigh Fisher Consultants will present information on the dynamics of the current airline situation and the impact on small airports such as SAV; provide an analysis of historic, current, and future traffic in relation to SAV’s neighboring airports; discuss the cyclical nature of this business as it relates to mergers and acquisitions of legacy carriers; discuss airfare methodologies relative to what we are seeing at SAV; discuss Southwest & JetBlue business models and plans and the effect that those plans may have on service to SAV; and cover opportunities for SAV relative to air service and airfares.
Leigh Fisher Management Consultants has over sixty years of experience advising key aviation decision makers around the world. “The Savannah Airport Commission is excited to have Dr. Van Beek come to our community to discuss our opportunities,” says Patrick Graham, Executive Director for the Savannah Airport Commission. “Leigh Fisher was selected as an independent agent for this workshop to educate our community on our real opportunities and our challenges, and what can realistically be expected of our Airport.”

The workshop will also be held on Hilton Head Island on September 19, 2012.
