Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport has partnered with Blueberry Technology to offer a
new service aimed at improving the travel experience for passengers with reduced mobility.
Complementing the airport’s existing PRM services, the new offering features joystick-controlled
BBGo vehicles that allow passengers to move through the terminal independently, whether
heading to a restaurant, browsing shops, using the restroom, or heading to their gate.
This initiative reflects the airport’s ongoing commitment to making the terminal experience more
comfortable and flexible for all travelers. By introducing BBGo, the airport offers passengers a
way to move at their own pace without relying on staff assistance.
The BBGo vehicles are free to use and can be requested at the Mobility Services desk on the
Departure Level. Passengers can either stop by the counter on the day of travel or notify their
airline at check-in. Once assigned a vehicle, they can navigate the terminal using simple joystick
controls. Each vehicle includes dedicated storage for carry-on and additional luggage, along
with an interactive display for checking flight status and switching between Joystick and Push
modes.
“The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport has long been known for its innovative
approach to enhancing the travel experience,” said Rajeev Ramanath, CEO at Blueberry
Technology, Inc. “This collaboration shows what’s possible when airports focus on making travel
more inclusive. It’s not just about getting from A to B—it’s about giving people the choice to
move freely and comfortably.”
Early feedback from passengers during trial periods has been positive, with many noting the
ease of use and increased independence. The service is now fully operational ahead of the
summer travel season.
