SAVANNAH, GA – Sun Country Airlines announced today that it will begin seasonal service to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport from Minneapolis/St. Paul on August 27, 2015. The service will offer flights departing from Minneapolis/St. Paul on Thursdays arriving at Savannah/Hilton Head International at 7:45 PM and flights departing Savannah/Hilton Head International on Sundays at 12:00 Noon, arriving in Minneapolis/St. Paul at 1:52 PM. The service will operate through December 13, 2015.
“This new seasonal service will provide the 3M residents of Minneapolis/St Paul with direct access to two great leisure markets, Savannah and Hilton Head Island” said Airport Executive Director, Greg Kelly. He continued, “the seasonal service will also provide direct access for residents of Savannah and the low country to a great city and region in the Midwest. We are pleased to welcome Sun Country Airlines to our market.”
Savannah/Hilton Head International currently offers year-round non-stop service on American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, United Airlines and US Airways to thirteen destinations with forty-five daily departures. With the addition of Sun Country Airlines and Allegiant Air, Savannah/Hilton Head International will offer seasonal service to four locations, Cincinnati, Akron/Canton, Columbus, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. The new seasonal service will operate on varying schedules from May 8 through December 13, 2015.
