Project Overview
Contractors have begun the initial phase of a major parking expansion project. This project will also encompass filling and grading of some of the low areas between Airways Avenue and Gulfstream Rd. immediately north of the Overflow/Oversize lot.
The current SAV Value Park and the Oversize/Overflow lots will be CLOSED for the duration of the project. In the interim, SAV Value Park will temporarily relocate to the upper level of the south Economy parking deck. Oversize/Overflow vehicles will park at the “Williamsburg” lot on Airways Ave. just this side of the logo berms, with shuttle service provided.
Benefits
When complete, the SAV Value Park lot will more than double in size, and the Oversized/Overflow lot will be paved, lighted, and marked with 827 new spaces.
Project Progress
Reeves Construction Company is the general contractor. As of July 1 construction was 65% complete with final completion expected mid-September.
As of August 1, project is 80% complete.
