“We have worked hard with our air service partners to bring more capacity, additional nonstop departures, and more affordable options to our airport,” said Airport Executive Director, Greg Kelly. He continued, “2017 proved to be a very successful year for us, but as I have stated before, we will not rest on our laurels. We will keep the foot on the gas and look to achieve more air service success in 2018.”

2017 was highlighted by the launch of new seasonal service in May on Canada’s largest domestic and international airline, Air Canada. The flight operates seasonally seven days a week with flights from Toronto Pearson International. And the airport wrapped up the year just prior to the holidays with American Airlines announcing the addition of year-round daily nonstop service to Miami International Airport starting June 7, 2018. The airline will also begin seasonal/daily nonstop service to Chicago O’Hare Airport beginning June 7 through September 4, 2018.
