CSX Bourne Avenue & Gulfstream Road Railroad Crossings Closing in Chatham County

SAV has been notified by CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. (CSX) that the railroad crossings at Bourne Avenue/Dean Forest Road and Gulfstream Road will be temporarily closed for maintenance. Travelers are encouraged to allow extra travel time when arriving at or departing from the airport, particularly from July 20–21, when both crossings will be closed simultaneously and traffic delays are expected. The Bourne Avenue/Dean Forest Road crossing will be closed July 16–21, and the Gulfstream Road crossing will be closed July 20–22.

SAVANNAH, GA – Savannah/Hilton Head International wrapped up the busiest month in SAV history reporting 374,633 passengers using the Airport in the month of April, a 13.72% increase over the same month last year. Total passengers for 2023 are 1,171,605 an increase of 18.56% over the same period one year ago. The number of available seats reported for April shows an increase of 17% over the same period in 2022.

Market share for airlines serving Savannah/Hilton Head International in April was as follows: Delta Air Lines 27%, American 23%, United Airlines 16%, Southwest 15%, JetBlue 8.24%, Allegiant 7%. Avelo, Breeze, Frontier, Silver and Sun Country were each 1% or less.
