SAVANNAH, GA – The I-95 Interim Improvements Project is scheduled to begin August 8, 2014, and will continue until the scheduled completion date of November 25, 2014. Preparatory work for the long-anticipated improvements, to include the installation of erosion control measures, is scheduled to begin tomorrow. Initial progress may appear to be slow, saw-cutting of concrete and asphalt and other miscellaneous demolition will precede the heavier work that will ramp up in the coming weeks ahead. Most of the work will be performed between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am Monday through Friday with some work being done on Saturday and Sunday. There is a possibility that some work may be scheduled during the daytime but only within certain hours. No work will be done between 7:00am – 9:00am, 11:30am – 1:30pm, & 4:00pm – 7:00pm.
