Savannah, GA − A roadway rehabilitation project for Airways Avenue, the intersection at Crossroads Parkway, and thoroughfares around the airport terminal building and parking garages is scheduled to begin Sunday, September 27, 2015, and is scheduled for completion just prior to Thanksgiving. The following is a brief summary of the work that is likely to be the most disruptive to SAV’s tenants and passengers:
- Milling and paving around the terminal and parking garages – nights from 11 PM to 5 AM – September 27th to October 2nd.
- Milling and paving the Airways Avenue / Crossroads Parkway intersection – nights from 11 PM to 5 AM – October 2nd to October 7th.
- Milling and paving Airways Avenue west bound from the Crossroads Parkway intersection to I-95 including a new turning lane – nights from 11 PM to 5 AM – November 6th to November 9th.
Passengers are reminded to arrive at the Airport 90 minutes prior to flight departure time. This is especially important for early morning flights, as extra time may be needed to park, check baggage and clear security.
