SAVANNAH GA – The Savannah Airport Commission will conduct an Aviation Security Exercise from 8:00 – 10:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23. This exercise is conducted in accordance with Department of Homeland Security regulations requiring an airport operator to periodically conduct live exercises.
During the exercise, area residents and visitors should expect to see emergency vehicles, law enforcement officers, and airport staff engaged in the exercise on nearby roadways, at curbside, and around the baggage claim areas. The drill will have no impact on routine airport operations and the exercise will be structured to minimize any disruption to airport passengers and tenants.
