MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, Minn. – October 26, 2015 – Sun Country Airlines is pleased to announce continuing nonstop seasonal service to Savannah/Hilton Head (SAV). Service will be offered from Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) for select dates in April and May of 2016. Savannah/Hilton Head offers travelers rich history, beautiful scenery, and world-class golf courses and beaches.

Savannah’s historic charm is second to none, and the city boasts the largest National Historic Landmark District in the United States. Only 18 miles from downtown is seaside resort Tybee Island, ideal for a beach vacation. Hilton Head Island is home to some of the country’s leading championship golf courses, and is only 45 miles from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

The MSP to SAV spring route is now available for flight and vacation package booking through Sun Country Airlines. Flights will operate on Thursdays/Mondays in April and on Thursdays/Sundays through May 22, 2016.

“Since we debuted the route earlier this year, Savannah and Hilton Head have proven to be favorite destinations for our travelers,” said Larry Chestler, EVP, Sun Country Airlines. “From top golf communities to pristine beaches, growing our nonstop service from MSP to these attractive coastal destinations give our customers even more great vacation options.”

“Sun Country’s decision to return in the spring with increased frequency is a big win for the Savannah/Hilton Head Island region,” said Greg Kelly, Executive Director of Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. “We have proven that we can support direct mainline service to/from another major market. We look forward to working with Sun Country Airlines to build on this success.”
